You don’t have to completely give up your favorite hobbies and recreation activities when you’re trying to trim your budget. In fact, sometimes bringing out the axe for the budget trimming instead of the nail clippers ends up being counterproductive.
For example, if you’re a golfer and you want to cut the costs of your sport without eliminating it, start by purchasing a collection of used golf balls. If you’re like the rest of us, you’ll lose half of them in the woods anyhow (on a good day), so why washe money?
Even if you don’t really “need” to decrease expenses, why not? Never give away hard-earned money when there’s an acceptable and less-expensive alternative. That’s just common sense.
