Fall Planting

Archived in the category: Common Cents

Another end-of-season savings tip…

Fall is the best time for planting trees and shrubs. Now that the summer heat is cooling, the new plants will have a much better survival rate while their roots become established. Fall is usually wetter as well, with more rain and less evaporation.

Many landscape suppliers and greenhouses reduce prices at the end of summer, so there really is no better time for these outdoor projects.
